My journey has taken me down many roads. I studied and worked abroad in numerous countries throughout the world. From working in a refugee camp in Slovenia to developing an education on an orangutan sanctuary in Borneo, I have always sought self exploration and insight into the livelihood of mankind. I received a bachelors degree in Humanities with an emphasis in Psychology from Sierra Nevada College in Lake Tahoe. A few years later I obtained a teaching degree and earned a California Multiple Subject Teacher Credential.

I have taught in numerous settings with various populations: Psychology courses for high school college prep students, therapeutic trainings for Psychologists & MFT‘s, parenting groups, English as a second language for adults, elementary school core curriculum, social skills for young children and teens, sex & drug prevention for teens and coached soccer and baseball for kids 10-18 years of age.

My clinical training years provided me with a strong therapeutic foundation and a deeper self awareness. In that time, I worked with adults at Airport Marina Counseling Service with a focus of treatment in a psychodynamic frame. I worked primarily with adults who where struggling with life transitions, depression, relational issues, parenting issues, anxiety, and loss. I also worked as a school therapist at 2 different educational settings with students who were emotionally disturbed. During this period, I conducted teen groups dealing with issues of substance abuse, maturity and growth issues, and divorce. In addition, I assisted in adjunct family therapy with clients at the school sites.
